Sleep, O sleep,
With thy rod of incantation,
Charm my imagination,
Then, only then, I cease to weep.

By thy power
The virgin, by Time Oʼertaken,
For years forlorn, forsaken,
Enjoys the happy hour.

‘Tis visionary Blessing;
A dream thatʼs past expressing;
